Lost & Found
During the week, you will be training in a variety of areas throughout Fort Indiantown Gap and the surrounding area. It is your responsibility BEFORE YOU DEPART from one area to another, to make sure your cover, canteen, camelback and any other belongings taken to any area, depart with you. Should they not, it is unlikely you will see them again. There are hundreds of troops continually training at FTIG and cleared areas turn over quickly from one group to another. To get back into an area we have released requires permission of the unit involved and may entail a significant time delay due to safety and security concerns. Realize that many areas you will be training in, are open to the public. Ideally we would like to believe everyone will do the right thing but realistically not everyone possesses the same high degree of integrity we aspire to. While we will go back to search in an area once safe, the best way to retain possession of your items is to BE DILIGENT and not loose them in the first place.
Before you depart Encampment after graduation, DOUBLE CHECK YOUR GEAR to make sure you have everything of yours and nothing belonging to anyone else. If you think you left anything in the barracks or graduation area, immediately contact Lt Col Willa J Hayes via email willa.hayes@verizon.net or via phone (215) 357-8749 so we can check the area. After 1700 EDST on 2 Aug, everyone from ENC will have departed and there will be no ability to search any area.
If you picked up something you thought was yours but turns out to belong to someone else, immediately contact Lt Col Willa J Hayes via email willa.hayes@verizon.net or via phone (215) 357-8749, so arrangements can be made to get the item to the proper owner.
